Strange War - iOS8+ Game

Strange War

a Tiled Icons Game born from a Cartoons like icons passion. Not a real "war like" game, even if the goal is to eliminate the opponents families in a tiled terrain world. Rather a relaxing puzzle for all the family, with a touch of humour.

Game Guide

Strange War

Strange War is a Tiled Icons game, where four families of characters will try to eliminate the opposing.

The families are: Beauties, Guys, Animals and Smilies. At the start of the game you will be able to choose which family do you want impersonate. In addition to the four families, a set of Meal and Things will be placed over the terrains also. Each terrain of the six categories will have a different background color.

The amount of placed terrains and characters will vary in accord with the device you are playing on. The smallest game field will be drawn on the iPhone 4S, the biggest on the iPad Air. In all cases the game field will be the device resolution double.
To scroll the game field, let tap over a free terrain, hold and drag around.

The user interface allows you to zoom in/out the game area. Just pinch to enlarge or reduce the size of it.

To move your players, let tap over one of them, hold and drag it over another terrain. But let please note you can reach another terrain just walking over yours. In other words, your path to reach the destination must contain contiguous owned terrains.

If you reach a terrain owned by your family, the moved character can move again, otherwise not in the current turn. Once you have moved one of your players, the device will move the three other families.

Let continue to move your charachters up to when all of them can't move anymore (the already moved players icon will be more transparent), than press the "Turn" button (see images below), and continue to move trying to conquer terrains and eliminate the opponents. Let note but, you can advance the turn even if you have players that can already move.

But what happen if you drag one of your playes over an opponent charachter of another family? When the game field is built, to each player a casual amount of strength and money is assigned. If you tap over a player, a message with his strength and money is shown, but will disappear as soon as you will move your finger. You can't know the opponent strength and money but. To move to an opponent means a battle, more strength your player has, more possibilities to eliminate the other one has, with a litte casuality but. That's ensure (as in the real life), everyone can defeat someone. If your player won, you will gain the reached terrain, the opponent is eliminated and your player will become stronger and richer.

And moving over Meal or Things? To Meal and Things no strength is assigned, and the money for each one means the cost. If your character has enough money to buy the reached object, you can move it there. To every object of this two categories but, an effect is also assigned. That means your player will gain strength or money, or vice-versa. But this is not the complete list of effects, you will discover just playing.
